The truth is that EVERY ACTOR didn’t start with the platform they have today.
When you see someone like Sydney Sweeney, Jennifer Lawrence, or whoever that “breaks out,” - that actor has carefully built their career along the way.
What I mean by that is this:
On the way to your “Big Break” role on tomorrow’s hit, there’s going to come to the character piece or bit all along the way…

Commercials.
Some actors are too snobby for this and turn their noses up at it, but I’m telling you, this is a CRIMINALLY underused strategy to build your career fast.
It doesn’t sound very “sexy,” but why should you care about commercial acting?
Reason #1: $284B Spent on Commercials in 2021 - and GROWING!
2021 was a record-setting year for Advertising Spending!
… So was 2020.
… And 2019.

My friends, There’s never been a better time to get into advertising because companies will only make more ads yearly.
That means there are:
TONS OF JOBS available…
TONS OF OPPORTUNITIES for you to get paid for acting ASAP (no waiting years!)...
TONS OF CHANCES to play characters, develop your types, get professional speaking footage, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, finally understand how Casting sees you…
Bonus: You might even get TONS OF EXPOSURE to Agents, Managers, and Casting when you get a national spot or one that runs in significant metro areas… (Tons of actors underestimate how commercials can HELP YOU BUILD “Face Familiarity” in the business.)
My Friends, So there’s no reason not to do it while you’re still training because you may as well generate income anyway.
But what if I told you Commercial Acting could accelerate your marketability as an actor?
Reason #2: SAG-E Fast Track…
Because many actors are too busy turning down commercials because they’re “too artistic for that,” most of them don’t know all you need to do is book 1 Union commercial, and you’ll become SAG-Eligible!

My Friends, Please trust me when I say there is NOTHING Casting, Agents, and Managers LOVE MORE than to see an Actor with a solid resume filled with paid work.
This is such a funny myth to me because…

If you have a particular Rep you’ve been eyeing, or maybe even developed a little bit of a relationship with, then I swear to you the fastest way to get them to sign you is to go book something and then reach out to them asking them to help you close the deal.
You will have an offer in hand faster than you could even believe, even before you send the email!!
